• DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)
The Residential and Community Day Services programs at LARC have full-time and part-time openings supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in Lansing, IL. Direct Support Professionals provide supports and supervision in either a community, classroom, or residential setting. Activities include daily living supports and activities with a person-centered approach. DSP's will utilize agency vehicles and must have a valid drivers' license and vehicle insurance. Additional requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 18 years of age or older, and a clean background check. Experience working with I/DD a plus. Residentials shifts are primarily afternoons, midnights, and weekends. CDS shifts are Monday through Friday days. Must be available to attend two-week DSP classroom training.
• JOB COACH
The Supported Employment program at LARC has a full-time opening for a Job Coach in Lansing, Illinois. The Job Coach will assist individuals with disabilities in maintaining employment in the community in integrated settings. The incumbent will work with individuals who have barriers to employment to identify needed workplace supports based upon individual preferences, skills and job duties. S/he will be responsible for developing relationships with employers in order to support the successful transition of job seekers into employment; will provide on-going supports, as needed, to facilitate employment retentions; and will provide case management and service coordination, as needed, to facilitate access to and the coordination of services necessary for successful employment outcomes. This position requires the Job Coach to have the ability to work in a variety of weather and be available to work during the day on weekdays, with some occasional work to be performed on weekends and evenings.
